Our Environmental Policy aligns with the PNB Print Code of Business Conduct, ETI Base Code, Nordic Swan, Ecolabel criteria, and requirements, reflecting our commitment to being a socially responsible company that values environmental concerns.

At PNB Print, environmental responsibility is deeply ingrained in our business strategy from the very beginning. We prioritize environmental issues in all decision-making, planning, and production to minimize our environmental impact. Our commitments include waste reduction, improved waste management and recycling, promoting waste sorting awareness among employees, seeking energy-saving solutions, responsible water resource management, monitoring and reducing CO2 emissions, researching eco-friendly printing chemicals, and complying with relevant environmental regulations in Latvia and the EU. PNB Print’s commitments to environmental sustainability include: 

  • Minimizing waste throughout production processes by evaluating operations and maximizing efficiency.
  • Improving waste management by increasing the amount of recyclable waste and implementing waste sorting practices.
  • Actively promoting awareness and incentivizing waste sorting among PNB Print employees.
  • Seeking solutions to reduce electrical power consumption through ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Implementing responsible water resource management practices.
  • Performing CO2 calculations and diligently tracking their reduction efforts.
  • Continuously researching environmentally friendly chemicals for printing presses and bindery processes from new suppliers.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant Latvian and EU environmental regulations pertaining to PNB Print’s operations.

PNB Print’s sustainability goals to be achieved by 2025 (compared to the base year 2019) are as follows:

  • Waste: Aim to achieve a 10% reduction in the amount of unsorted waste.
  • Recycling: Increase the amount of recyclable waste by 10%.
  • Water: Target a 15% reduction in water consumption.
  • GHG’s: Strive for a 10% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions.
  • Energy: Aim to reduce energy consumption by 10%.
